Anita Maggiani

Anita Maggiani is an Italian portrait photographer who at the age of 15 chose photography as the visual art which could substitute her passion for painting. Before becoming a studio portrait photographer specializing in newborn and maternity in the last seven years, she had experimented with travel photography, regattas, editorials for magazines and weddings. In 2013 her work was selected to be part of an international seven week exhibition titled “The Story of the Creative” hosted in the digital exhibition room of the New York City gallery. In 2019 she participated in the World Photographic Cup being selected to represent Italy in the Portrait category. She also won a 1st placement in the Family category and achieved 2nd place in the Unposed Newborn at the Birth and Beyond Photography Awards. In 2020 and 2021 she submitted her work to a number of international contests such as WPE, EPA; WPC, WPI, Rise Awards, Cosmos Awards and the Societies of Photographers winning about 40 awards in the categories of Newborn, Maternity, Children, Visual Narrative, Creative, Illustration and Documentary, being named among the best 100 photographers in the world by WPE and WPI in 2020. Some of her work was exhibited at the National Salon of Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, USA.
